Yemenisation

Today, Yemen LNG is 85% Yemenised and the Company is on its way to reach 90% Yemenisation.

Technical training

Since 2006, over 200 trainees have graduated from the Yemen LNG Training Center. A new batch of 42 trainees are currently following the two-year training program and are expected to graduate in 2012.   These graduates represent the back bone of the workforce.  The future of the Company depends on this group out of which a good number of future supervisors and managers will emerge.

Marine cadetship

Yemen LNG is sponsoring 45 marine cadets following Nautical Science and Marine Engineering in marine academies in Malaysia, India and the UK. The total duration of the program is 4 years. After graduation, the young marine officers will crew the Seri Balhaf, Seri Balqis, Maersk Marib and Maersk Arwa LNG carriers dedicated to the transport LNG from Balhaf to world markets.
