Under the theme “Think Safety, better safe than sorry, Safety for me for you and for all”, Yemen LNG marked in Sanaa the World Day for Safety and Health at Work to promote the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases.



“It is an awareness-raising campaign intended to focus our attention on emerging trends in the field of occupational safety and health”, Yemen LNG General Manager Mr. Jacques Azibert emphasized in his speech during this annual event.



As a world-class global energy supplier striving for excellence, Yemen LNG also celebrated achieving in 2013 top safety performance records within the oil and gas industry worldwide. “This is the result of commitment to every aspect of our operations and especially to safety in all our work”, Mr. Azibert added. “A good safety culture is a living culture with constant reassessment by all personnel engaged in their respective duties,” he said.



To expand knowledge and raise the awareness levels on safety and health topics, this year’s celebration was marked with interactive activities where nine local Yemeni and international companies, providing HSE services and supplies to Yemen LNG, participated in a full-day exhibition where they showcased a wide range of equipment, products and services used for safety and health purposes in the oil and gas industry in Yemen.
